HOW TO CHOOSE ART FOR YOUR OFFICE The benefits of artwork in the workplace are well-documented. The physical and emotional effects range from increased worker satisfaction, positive client first impressions, and higher productivity. For these reasons, it is no surprise that artwork has become an important consideration for local architecture firms, interior designers and business owners. Capitalize on our experience sourcing artwork for business with the following tips. CLEVELAND PHOTOGRAPHY IS LEADING THE WAY ![]() Clevelanders are glowing with hometown pride! People are visiting from all over the country to see what the excitement is all about! It should be no surprise to locals reading this, Cleveland photography has become the most theme for artwork in an office setting. We recommend considering exciting, colorful images that evoke desires to visit a certain place in town or encourage discussions about everything our city has to offer. If you are considering taking your office walls in this direction, we need to talk! Through our relationships with several fine art photographers, we would love to help you source a collection of images to choose from that achieve your goals and display your hometown pride. CONSIDER THE BENEFITS OF A LOCAL COMPANY ![]() Local galleries have several advantages over the many online options available to you. In addition to building a working relationship, many local galleries offer site visits, ensuring your order will contain the appropriate number of pieces and correct sizes for your location. An ongoing local presence can be an indicator that a company provides high quality products and services, as they have a reputation to uphold in their local communities. They know your city better than out-of-towners, and it never hurts to have someone to call on later when you need to frame your latest Weatherhead 100 magazine cover. Finally, local galleries will be installing your artwork when the time comes. Bundling installation services with the purchase of your artwork means more accurate budgeting, product/quality guarantees, and perhaps more competitive bids than separating the two. CHOOSE EXCITING IMAGES "We just purchased art a couple of years ago, but..." is a common call we get from future clients. It is a story where the main characters (the art and the client) never seem to click. The problem: the art was boring. It just didn't stand the test of time. There are many stock photography sites, and even more companies willing to sell you stock photography of your city. Shots that have no soul! Choose a firm that can present you with out-of-the-ordinary images, captured by talented local photographers, to extend your investment. Perhaps its the modern look of metal or acrylic art featuring one of our Cleveland photography collections? Or, consider incorporating company-related objects like this company did. ABOUT US The Framer's Gallery provides artwork, fine art printing, and picture framing services to many of Northeast Ohio's top companies. How will you display your front page and what do you need to know? Here are 5 tips from The Framer's Gallery, Voted #1 in Cleveland for Best Custom Framing! 1. MATS - They separate your paper from touching your glass. Without separation you could end up with condensation. Not good. They also need to be acid-free, period. Some retailers may sell you an acid mat on your art... but going cheap on this part of framing WILL leave your front page with acid stains and maybe water damage. 2. GLASS - Okay Cavs fans, this is IMPORTANT! Newspapers are fragile and the ink is "cost effective" at best. No matter where you're going to have it framed (we hope you choose us!), only choose glass with a UV-protective coating to slow down any fading. Cheap Glass = A Washed Out and Faded Front Page... and we're talking fast. RECEIVE INCREDIBLE BENEFITS BY BECOMING A WALL WARRIOR! 3. MATS, again! - You'll love the design options available in matting. Did you like the black uniforms with wine and gold accents? You can have that! Want a mat that looks like a basketball? Yes! How about the number of your favorite player or "CLE" cut into the mat for added effect? Perhaps you would like a photograph or pattern printed as your background? Sure! We'll create and build it exactly how you want it! Check out some of the sports memorabilia or concert posters we did featuring some pretty cool mat designs! 4. MOUNTING - You've got options! Proper conservation mounting could be a water-activated hinge tape. What?! Translation, we'll hang the paper inside using a fully-removable tape. Downside, this doesn't smooth out any wrinkles. Your other option includes a permanent dry-mount, where we use heated press to seal your paper to a foam board. You wouldn't be able to ever remove the paper from the backing board but it presents as smooth as Kyrie's fade-away! (You get the picture!) 5. FRAMES - Simple or colorful, there's a perfect frame for every style! Check out a few of the choices our customers have selected to frame their Plain Dealer below! Expect to budget around $200 and up to $400 if you get really fancy. WE KNOW YOU HAVE CHOICES, THANKS FOR KEEPING IT LOCAL! Did you know? For every $1 spent at a locally owned business, .48 stays in the community, while less than .14 spent at a big box stays in the community! Ouch! We also frame art, photographs, shadow boxes, family heirlooms, wedding invitations, concert posters, sports memorabilia and much more! The Framer's Gallery is Voted #1 in Cleveland for Best Custom Framing! We are conveniently located off of I-77 at Rt. 82 & 21 in Brecksville. Stop by today! JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST ORDINARY.
